Skiing plays a major role at Schule Schloss Stein, and this year our sports teachers once again put together an excellently organized program for our lower school students. The advanced group had a lot of fun in the Obertauern ski resort in Austria and were able to rack up plenty of kilometers on the slopes, while the beginners were so motivated that they were able to master the big blue slope on the second day. The enthusiasm is great – many of them are planning to build on their newly acquired skills during the Christmas vacations. There was also an all-round successful program away from the slopes: together they enjoyed the delicious Austrian cuisine with Kaiserschmarrn & Co. and ended the day comfortably – sometimes even with a small round of “gambling” in the gym. A week that brought our lower school even closer together.

December | Matilda Csató, 6th grade
Our ski camp was a very special experience. Even the journey there was great, we were all in a good mood and full of anticipation. When we arrived at the ski resort, we had imperial weather. The sun shone every day and the sky was bright blue. The ski camp was open to pupils in years 5 to 9, i.e. the lower school. The piste conditions were excellent, the snow was perfect for skiing and everyone had a lot of fun. Whether beginner or advanced, everyone was able to improve and gain new experiences.
We stayed at the Hotel Alpincenter, which we liked very much. The hotel was cozy and we immediately felt at home there. After a long day of skiing, we were able to relax and spend time together.
A special highlight was the shopping day in the village. We were able to buy souvenirs, stroll through the stores and get to know the village better. This day was a nice change from skiing.
All in all, the ski camp was an unforgettable experience with great weather, perfect slopes and many wonderful moments that we will remember for a long time to come.
