As a private school, Schule Schloss Stein relies on additional donations as well as the regular school fees paid by parents. In order to be able to offer our pupils a high-quality education, we regularly develop the school and boarding school further. In addition to the Altsteiner Verein, in which former pupils are still very much involved in the further development of the school even after their time at school, and the Steiner Scholarship Foundation, we are also pleased to receive regular donations from the wide circle of Steiner Friends & Sponsors.

Friends & Sponsors of Schule Schloss Stein

The circle of friends and sponsors of Schule Schloss Stein is an essential institution for us, allowing us to offer our students the highest quality on a daily basis. Every individual donation – regardless of the amount – enables us to create an even better infrastructure, quality of learning and quality of life for our Steiner students. Donors give us the opportunity to maintain competitive parental contributions. Regular donations help us to secure our work in the long term. Whether for specific projects or just because, any amount is welcome.

The volunteer board of the Circle of Friends and Sponsors, led by Erina Uhl, supports the boarding school and school management in implementing projects – be it renovation measures in the school or boarding school, or student initiatives such as our new sun deck.

The Altstein Association

The Altsteiner Association was founded in 1965 and maintains the network of former pupils of Schule Schloss Stein. The purpose of the association is to maintain the network and provide financial support to the school and boarding school to promote educational issues. Regular meetings and events – above all the Altsteiner Treffen – are intended to strengthen the cohesion of the alumni and maintain the connection to the former school. The association supports meaningful projects and activities of the school and boarding school with financial means in order to contribute to the further development of Schule Schloss Stein.

The Scholarship Foundation

Talented and committed pupils enrich a school, they are an incentive for their fellow pupils and the beacons of hope in our society. A harmonious education of the whole personality is traditionally the goal of our school. The Steiner Scholarship Foundation, which was established in 2004 by 41 former pupils of Schule Schloss Stein, awards scholarships to pupils of all grades who demonstrate both good academic performance and commitment to the community. The amount of the scholarship depends on the parents’ income.

“I skipped many grades in elementary school and was supposed to go to a secondary school at the age of 7. Finding a suitable secondary school that was willing to accept me at such a young age was not easy, so we turned to Mr. Ziegler – after a short letter of motivation and a school psychology certificate, we were ready to go! I’ve now been here for eight years.“
The main areas of support are education, Educator and youth welfare. The specific amount of the scholarships depends on the financial situation of the scholarship holders and their families.
Scholarships are not only financed from the foundation’s own assets. Instead, the Stein Scholarship Foundation is responsible for coordinating all scholarships at Schule Schloss Stein. This means that scholarships are awarded according to uniform guidelines.

Doing good beyond your lifetime: With a donation in your estate or will, you can do good beyond your death and think of future generations. In this way, your gift will enable pupils at Schule Schloss Stein to receive a privileged education at the highest level.
