On Saturday, April 25, 2025, our children and young people experienced an exciting day at the go-kart racing station in St. Pantaleon. The anticipation was already palpable on arrival – 25 motivated “Steiner drivers” were ready to take on this exciting challenge.
At the beginning, all participants were carefully briefed and familiarized with the most important safety rules in an age-appropriate manner. It was great to see how attentively they listened and how responsibly everyone dealt with the new situation. Then it was finally time to hit the race track: everyone had the chance to familiarize themselves with the karts and the track in a practice lap before things got a little more serious in qualifying.
In order to do justice to the different levels of experience, three groups were then formed: “pros”, “quite good” and “beginners”. This gave everyone the opportunity to try things out in a suitable setting and gain their own sense of achievement.
There were thrilling duels, impressive driving maneuvers and the odd small crash – but everything remained fair and respectful. It was particularly nice to see how the group cheered each other on, showed consideration and kept going even after minor setbacks.
In the “Battle for the Grand Prix of St. Pantaleon”, the riders gave each other no quarter – and yet the focus was always on fun and the shared experience. In the end, the following placings were celebrated:
Group 1 (professionals): 1st Fujun, 2nd Michael, 3rd Alex Group 2 (going quite well): 1st Salvatore, 2nd Carlotta, 3rd Leopold Group 3 (Beginners): 1st Artem, 2nd Camila, 3rd Frida
Regardless of the placings, the day was a complete success for everyone. Our students showed courage, perseverance and team spirit. It was a great pleasure to see how many of them excelled, supported each other and enjoyed this special outing with beaming faces.+
An eventful day that we will all remember for a long time to come.
