A new chapter begins – and it should start peacefully. That’s why we traditionally welcome our new students and their families to Stein a day before the main arrival. This allows time to settle in, get to know the Schloss and the new surroundings, and take in the first impressions without the hustle and bustle of the school start.
On Saturday, September 12th, the time had come: Our new day students from the surrounding area, as well as the new boarding students from China, Germany, Mexico, and Turkey, arrived in Stein with their families, enriching our international community from this school year onwards.
Moving into rooms, unpacking suitcases, and receiving new school uniforms – there was plenty to do for the new Steiner students. However, under the bright September sun, there was also enough time to explore the Schloss and the new surroundings at leisure and make initial contacts.
In the early evening, it became official: We welcomed our new students and their families with an aperitif on the Schloss balcony. During the subsequent introduction round, everyone got to know each other better. Over a shared dinner, conversations continued, laughter was shared, and toasts were made.
The warm and relaxed atmosphere made it easy to start conversations and overcome initial inhibitions. Thus, the first day in Stein was a successful start, and even some small pangs of separation could recede into the background. The anticipation for the new school year was palpable among everyone.
