October 2026 | Eduardo Moreno Orozco, Year 11
On 4 October the new Mexican students Isabella, Victoria, Gabriela, the two Sofias, Bruno and I, as well as Salvatore and Aaron – both of whom have been at Stein for longer – went on a cycling trip to Lake Chiemsee with Mr Ziegler. We cycled once around the lake. The route was about 60 kilometers in total and took around two and a half hours.
What we particularly enjoyed was that this trip gave us a very good opportunity to get to know one another better as classmates and to build a stronger bond. We also had lots of fun swimming in Lake Chiemsee. The water was already a little cold, but we still enjoyed swimming very much.
The trip was also a wonderful experience because in Mexico City it is not easy to cycle due to the heavy traffic. In addition, most beautiful places are outside the city. All the more we enjoyed the opportunity to experience nature and the beautiful landscape of the Chiemgau region around Lake Chiemsee together.
After we had completed the circuit, we bought ourselves an ice cream, which was very tasty. Although there were a few minor accidents – nothing serious – we can say that it was a wonderful experience. We would like to do the trip again in the future.
