On Monday, July 27, one of the sporting highlights of the last week of school was on the schedule: the home soccer championship. The weather was rather changeable: summery temperatures were repeatedly followed by rain showers—much to the delight of nature, which desperately needed the rain. However, this did nothing to dampen the good mood, team spirit, and competitive drive.
On the field, everyone fought for every ball, cheered, celebrated, and shared in the excitement. We were especially delighted by the visit of Friedrich “Fred” Hörmann (Abitur 2019), who didn’t want to miss the home soccer championship and even laced up his soccer cleats again for the traditional students-versus-staff game.
At the end of an exciting day of competition, the 11th-grade class celebrated winning the title and were crowned the 2026 home soccer champions.
