On the Thursday before the last day of school, the tradition at Schule Schloss Stein is: Off to the swimming meet! The entire school community heads to the swimming pool in Traunreut to compete in the school year’s final athletic event. The winners are then honored during the summer festival the following day.
Once again this year, there were many strong performances and impressive times in the water. One student, however, provided a very special surprise: Maria Gollasch, a 5th grader, prevailed in the breaststroke against all female and male participants in every age group and posted the fastest time of the day. An extraordinary achievement—we offer our heartfelt congratulations!
In the freestyle event, Patricia Casanova Cogolludo set the fastest time among the girls and Francisco Nicolás Briseño Varga set the fastest time among the boys. We’d like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to both of you on this great achievement!
We are delighted with the athletic achievements of all the participants and would like to express our gratitude for a successful day of competition to wrap up the school year.
