Raphael Breuer, born in Obermichelbach (Fürth district), is a comedian, language artist, and content creator. He studied media science in Bayreuth and combines stage humor with linguistic awareness. His online videos about language, grammar, and everyday communication regularly reach hundreds of thousands of views. Over 40,000 people follow him on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. His trademark: linguistic wit with a message—humorous, socially relevant, and close to the lives of young people.
In his school program “Verstehen Sie Sprach” (Do You Understand Language), Raphael Breuer combines humorous stand-up comedy with language education. Drawing on personal experiences, pop culture references, and original examples, he sheds light on the diversity of the German language—from grammar, spelling, and phonetics to youth slang, anglicisms, and German rap. In doing so, he questions common prejudices, puts supposedly “incorrect” or unpopular forms of language in a new light, and shows how rules come to life through creative application. With music parodies, spontaneous interactions, and biographical insights—such as his own journey from a child who stuttered to a language comedian—he makes it clear: language has many faces, and each one tells its own story. The goal is not only to entertain but also to encourage an open and curious approach to language.
