On Monday, October 19, we had a truly fascinating guest at our school as part of the “Forum of Youth”: Robert Kopp, former Chief of Police of the Upper Bavaria South Police Headquarters. He told us about his long career with the police and explained how he came to become Chief of Police. Particularly interesting were his personal experiences from more than 45 years of service, which gave us a completely different insight into the police profession.
Afterwards, we were able to ask him many questions, including on political and current topics such as internet crime, AI fraud, drugs, and civil courage. Above all, he impressed upon us that in difficult situations, one should first think calmly before acting.
The evening was rounded off with a joint dinner, where we had the chance to get to know him in a relaxed atmosphere. Some students even had the opportunity afterwards to question him personally in Mr. Ziegler’s office. All in all, it was a truly successful evening from which much could be taken away.
