Step by step

We have tried to provide a lot of basic information here on our website, but you can of course also call us at any time or request further information by post.

Before an on-site meeting takes place, we always conduct a telephone consultation to clarify any open questions and ensure that our school is the right choice for your child.

During the personal meeting at Schloss Stein, the most important goal is to find out whether we really fit together. We are happy to learn more about your motivation for enrolling your child at Steiner, but also to get to know your child’s personality a little better. We really want to get to know you at this first meeting.

A trial week at Schloss Stein is very welcome. During this time, your child will live at the boarding school and take part in school and leisure activities.

If the trial week is completed to your and our satisfaction, you will subsequently receive an invitation for a place at Schloss Stein boarding school. We will then discuss with you the best possible time to start school.

Scholarship

Talented and committed students enrich a school, inspire their peers, and represent the hope of our society. The balanced development of the whole person has traditionally been the guiding aim of our school. The Steiner Scholarship Foundation, an institution of the Altsteiner Association, awards scholarships to pupils of all grades who demonstrate both good academic performance and commitment to the community. The amount of the scholarship depends on the parents’ income.
Anna Lang, current scholarship holder in Stein:
I skipped many grades in elementary school and was supposed to go to a secondary school at the age of 7. Finding a suitable secondary school that was willing to accept me at such a young age was not easy, so we turned to Mr. Ziegler – after a short letter of motivation and a school psychology certificate, we were ready to go! I’ve now been here for eight years.
Scholarship holder Gordon Kunkel, best Steiner Abitur 2024:
My time in Steiner was the most exciting three years of my life. I was particularly influenced by the unique place, but above all by the people who have made Stein what it is.
I am proud to be an Altsteiner!
I owe the fact that I was able to have this experience entirely to the scholarship, for which I am infinitely grateful. It has motivated me to always give my best and achieve the very best grades.”
