“A happy new year! A happy new year! Bonne année ! Happy New Year! С Новым годом! 新年快乐!¡Feliz Año Nuevo!
We wish all students, parents and the entire teaching staff a year full of health, joy and inspiring moments. Let 2026 be a year in which we continue to grow together as a school community – more open, more courageous and more connected. May we dare to try new things, support each other and celebrate successes together.
Let diversity, creativity and cohesion characterize our togetherness and make every day an opportunity to learn from each other and grow together.”
Veronika Koch | Principal
We are starting the new school year full of anticipation – and right at the beginning, the focus is on winter sports: the Winter Boarding School Olympics invites all pupils to take part in exciting competitions, followed by the Altstein Ski Cup. A sporty start to the year that ensures plenty of exercise, team spirit and a good mood.
Only a little later we are looking forward to the 4. Winter Ball. We are particularly excited about this year’s motto and the creative realization of the decorations, which our deputy head of boarding school Mr. Matyszok will once again design with great attention to detail. A festive evening that we are all looking forward to.
This will be followed by the 24th Literature and Media Week is on the program. We can look forward to welcoming numerous artists, authors and many guests. It will be an inspiring time full of creativity, exciting encounters and stimulating discussions.
In March we open our doors for the Open Day. Our castle rally gives interested parties the opportunity to get to know our boarding school and grammar school. We look forward to welcoming many visitors and extend a warm welcome to everyone.
Spring marks the start of a particularly exciting time for our school leavers. Things are also getting serious for the new school management: the first Abitur under their responsibility is coming up. We are already looking forward to the graduation ceremony, which had to be paused last year due to the changeover from G8 to G9.
In addition to everyday school life, there are numerous seminar trips on the program, for example to Dublin or a planned crossing of the Alps by bike. Community weekends, from carnival to the popular Attersee excursion, also enrich boarding school life. International evenings, at which our students from different countries provide insights into their cultures, Young Ambassadors, who report on their study and training experiences, and the Youth Forum round off the varied program.
And last but not least, we are looking forward to our summer party. We are particularly excited about this year’s theater performance under the direction of Moritz Schertlerwhich is sure to be another highlight of the year.
2026 promises to be a varied and eventful year – we can hardly wait to experience many special moments together.
