April | Katharina Kammerer, German teacher
To mark World Book Day, classes 5-7 accompanied by their German teachers made their way to Traunstein on April 23. The aim of this excursion was to immerse themselves in the world of books.
The group was first welcomed at the “Thalia” bookstore, which is located in the heart of Traunstein. The first task was a scavenger hunt in the store, where tricky tasks were solved at the appropriate station. Afterwards, the guided tour of the store revealed the variety of products on offer. The different genres were presented and interesting facts about the sale of the books were given. The pupils then had the opportunity to browse through the book series themselves, browse through individual works and take one or two books home with them.
In addition to the supporting program in the bookshop, each pupil and teacher received a book gift at the end of the visit, this year “The Flying Class Scooter”.
