We are delighted to introduce our long-standing Head of School to you today! Stein proudly presents: Theresia Schilling – a true Steiner original, an expert in French and English, and a real all-rounder. In the interview, you will learn what Theresia has experienced here over almost 30 years, why she chose Stein over another school, and much more.

How did you come to Stein?

State teaching posts were few and far between. I then spent some time in Traunstein at a state grammar school and fell head over heels in love with the area—the Chiemsee, the mountains—I did not want to leave. And then I came to Stein from three directions. The best part was when the Head of School at the time called me and asked whether I would like to work at Stein. And that is how I came here—and stayed.

What would a Steiner superhero be called, and what would their superpowers be?

If I look at this question that way, I would say I can easily imagine the enchanting Jeannie here in this place. Then, with a wink, I could be everywhere at once, keep an eye on everyone, and meet every requirement.

What are you looking forward to in your final school year at Stein, and what will you miss most?

Spending time together and working with the children and young people. I will miss them terribly—I already know that.
