With deep ties to the school, Erina Uhl brings exciting new perspectives to Stein through her regular organization of the »Forum der Jugend«. Beyond this, she works continuously alongside the Supporters Association to modernize and preserve our school – with heart, commitment, and a clear vision for the future of Schule Schloss Stein.

Do you remember saying goodbye after your Abitur?

“Yes, of course. First of all, I cried. I simply didn’t want to leave at all – it was so wonderful here.”

What is the Forum der Jugend?

“The Forum der Jugend is very important to me. Various personalities from all walks of life are invited to Stein to share their life experiences with the young people here, such as the extreme climber and sustainability ambassador Stefan Glowacz, who visited recently.”

What is the goal of these presentations?

“The goal is to inspire the students and show them how diverse and vast the world is.”

Sebastian Ziegler on Erina Uhl:

“As chairwoman of the Friends Supporters Association, Erina Uhl has supported our diverse initiatives for many years. She is tireless in traditional fundraising – including at the summer festival at the end of July – always working to attract new members and donations. The Forum der Jugend would also be unthinkable without Erina Uhl, as many of the guests come through her personal contacts. She has remained a friend of the family since her own years as a student, even after Olaf Ziegler passed away far too early in 2001, who had been a true father figure to her. Her continued dedication to using this friendship for the benefit of the school fills us with deep gratitude.”

Sebastian Ziegler on the Friends Supporters Association:

“The Friends Supporters Association consists primarily of Altsteiner and their families who wish to give something back to the school beyond their own time at Stein. Over the years, many important structural improvements to the building have been realized in Stein only thanks to generous donations from this association: The conversion and expansion of the new oil tank with bell tower was one such major project. Likewise, the transformation of the hayloft above the cow barn into a gymnasium and auditorium. And substantial contributions from the Supporters Association are also being used for the gradual renovations of all boarding house floors that have been underway for ten years. The second area of activity is cultural programming – for example, the theater program and also the Forum der Jugend as well as various concerts are supported by the Friends Supporters Association.”
