Scavenger Hunt 2026

September | 2026

Our traditional scavenger hunt calls for team spirit, creativity, and no small amount of skill every year. Organized by the graduating class, the route winds through the Steiner surroundings and features exciting, funny, and sometimes rather wet challenges at various stations along the way. The goal is not only to master the tasks, but also to get to know new classmates and grow together as a community.

Brigitte Schilling from the 5th grade tells us how this year’s scavenger hunt went in her report.

September | Brigitte Schilling, 5th grade

This year, I took part in my first scavenger hunt at Schloss Stein. The scavenger hunt is organized for all returning and new students alike. First, we were divided into groups of 10 participants each. In my group, Group 3, there was Adam, our group leader, Veronika, Emily, Jonathan, and me (Brigitte), among others. Various stations had been set up that we had to complete.

The 13th grade took care of setting everything up. The tasks included, for example: guessing blindly what was inside a box, leaving a handprint on a canvas mounted high up on a branch, using different body parts to pop water balloons, and many other funny, wet, and slimy stations.

My favorite station was the second-to-last one. It was also truly the wettest and slimiest. There were six stations in total (see photos below). At the end of the scavenger hunt, Mr. Matyszok rinsed off all the participants one by one with a hose of warm water, which was definitely necessary!

The weather that day was really lovely, with sunshine and pleasant temperatures throughout. I also got to know my group quite well, and I’m already looking forward to next year, when another new, exciting, and fun scavenger hunt will take place.
