Today, February 24, 2026, we had the privilege of experiencing a very special moment: Together with the entire school community, we celebrated the 90th birthday of Angelika Ziegler—a figure who continues to shape our school to this day.
At 12:30 p.m., students, teachers, and staff gathered in the assembly hall to dedicate this special day to her through music and personal tributes. Musical classics, sensitively performed by pianist Ana Filipa Luz from Salzburg, our teacher Jacqueline Nazet, and our students Lilli Höfer, Jungchen Ren, Francisco Nicolás Briseño Varga, and José Santiago Zelaya Rivera, filled the room. A vocal performance by Robert Rathwallner and Sebastian Ziegler , the ceremony was rounded off in a special way.
Moritz Schertler delivered a moving speech. He paid tribute to what Ms. Ziegler has done for our school over the decades—with care, integrity, clarity, and personal dedication. Much of what she has built and nurtured continues to have an impact to this day. The so-called “Steiner spirit,” which makes our school so special, has been and continues to be shaped significantly by her.
Her journey in our community began as one of the first students under founder Ilse Wiskott. What started back then as a young girl’s experience grew into a lifelong connection. Together with her husband, Olaf Ziegler—the founder’s son—she led our school for many years with a strong sense of responsibility. From the founding generation, through their time leading the school together, to the handover to her son, Sebastian Ziegler, an impressive arc of intergenerational solidarity has been forged.
And how much we appreciate it when she talks about the past: the beginnings, the development, moving moments. Her memories bring history to life – and the values that underpin our company become tangible.
On the occasion of your 90th birthday, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks.

When Ilse Wiskott founded the Landschulheim Stein in October 1948, it was not only a school that came into being, but a community whose bond was to extend far beyond the years spent at school together.
