LIVING TOGETHER

"Living together" is a defining concept at the boarding school Schloss Stein . We attach great importance to the fact that students, teachersand also our teachers and other employees live (and grow) together in a harmonious community. This is also how Sebastian Ziegler , the overall director, now lives in third generation lives with his family not somewhere near the boarding school, but on the school campus. This close-knit community creates a family bond that shapes everyday life at Schloss Stein . This supportive environment and open communication promotes positive interaction between all Steiner.

Joint activities in sport, culture and leisure strengthen togetherness and promote intercultural intercultural exchange. At Stein , pupils from a wide variety of cultural and living environments come together - creating a lively, diverse and mutually supportive community that is crucial for a positive school climate and successful learning and growth.

The boarding school team

Our teachers and Educator are at the heart of Steiner boarding school life. They lovingly look after the well-being of the pupils, supporting, encouraging and inspiring them. Through their empathetic and dedicated approach, they create a warm and familiar atmosphere in which the young people can feel at home. With their care and understanding, they make a significant contribution to the personal development of each student.

We are grateful for their great commitment and dedication, which make boarding school life at Stein something very special.

Life and living

Following extensive renovations over the last six years, the school offers modern rooms for a comfortable living experience. Spacious 2-bed rooms are common, A-level students can also live in single rooms if they wish. All residential groups have common rooms and service apartments for the teachers.

The boarding school campus offers a supportive environment for social interaction and open communication, while at the same time respecting the students' privacy. In addition to the living quarters, residents have access to modern leisure facilities and sports facilities which strengthen togetherness and promote intercultural exchange.

ACTIVITIES

At Schloss Stein, activities outside of the traditional school routine play an important role. This gives our Steiner students an unparalleled variety of opportunities to try out a wide range of different areas and to discover and develop their inclinations and talents in the so-called "inclination groups".

Sport is important for young people in many ways. It not only promotes physical fitness and health, but also social skills such as teamwork, fair play and respect. In addition, sport offers a meaningful leisure activity and helps to reduce stress and boost self-confidence. By participating in sporting activities/competitions, young people also learn important life lessons such as perseverance, goal setting and how to deal with defeat, which will benefit them in other areas of their lives. For these reasons, they are all required to take a "sports inclination group" in addition to their PE lessons.

We offer an outstanding infrastructure for this on our premises. Not only were we pioneers with our state-of-the-art sports hall with ASB glass sprung floor, but we also have a spacious sports field as well as a grass playing field and a beach volleyball court. We are also very proud to have our own climbing hall. This is equipped with a variety of routes to challenge both beginners and experienced climbers. Following a recent renovation, our fitness room has been given a new lease of life, equipped with a wide range of cardio and strength equipment as well as crossfit units.

In the winter months, we benefit from our geographical location. As soon as and as long as the snow conditions allow, we offer alpine skiing several times a week. Here you can learn to ski, improve your skills or simply share this great passion with us.
